Those attending the legend’s second performance at Glasgow’s Sub Club were treated to the aforementioned magic on September 29, 2017, when he played to a packed out room filled with a passionate crowd. The energy and the music were so good that night, in fact, that Sasha has opted to release all three hours of it as the 30th episode of his Last Night On Earth mix series.

The set’s build is smooth and subtle, yet the pace remains consistently driving as Sasha explores the depths of brooding progressive and ambient, cinematic techno. Notable cuts delivered that night include his own remix to RÜFÜS DU SÖL’s “Innerbloom,” his original “Do The Maff, and Guy Gerber‘s remix of Pink Floyd‘s “Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun.” Despite being conjured during the dark nighttime hours, this edition of Last Night On Earth works well as an energizing morning kick-off for fans of progressive.
