As electronic dance music fans know and know well, October offers more than just Halloween plans. Each October, The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) descends upon its titular city to host more than 400 events among the canals. Hailed not only as the “world’s biggest club festival,” but as the “gateway to the international electronic music scene,” ADE’s focus, however, delves beyond live performances, annually holding an ADE conference in conjunction with its concert element. Conference sessions center around a variety of music industry related issues, production techniques, and the like, inviting both industry heads and artists to speak.
A networking nirvana in the dance music sphere, the 2017 ADE conference will see Martin Garrix deliver “Studio XL Martin Garrix,” an unprecedented, comprehensive presentation on his production process. The free, first come, first serve event is slated for October 18, accessible to those with an ADE Card in their possession. Studio XL Martin Garrix will begin at 4:30 PM at the DeLaMar Theater in the D4 Panel Room.
