Meet the artists of Suwannee Hulaween 2017: Goldfish

Suwannee Hulaween has become a highly-anticipated gathering over the past five years. Held annually at the picturesque Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL, the festival has gained a veritable reputation as the South’s premier Halloween Weekend festival. This year, Bassnectar, GRiZ, and The String Cheese Incident are among the top acts which will draw a sold-out jam and bass crowd into the festival. To take a closer look, we’ve tapped some of our favorite acts on the bill from a broad range of genres for a playlist series leading up to the weekend.

Dominic Peters and David Poole founded their electro-soul GoldFish project in Cape Town, South Africa. The two classically-trained jazz musicians had first met while studying music at college, and had a similar singular vision to infuse elements of house, indie-pop, jazz, and African music. Fresh off the release of their fifth studio album Late Night People, the production duo heads back to Suwannee Lake as veterans to the Hulaween festival.

“Last time we performed Hulaween it was one of the highlights of our year! Which naturally means we couldn’t be more excited to return. Hailing from a country that doesn’t really celebrate Halloween it’s super fun being exposed to all the craziness that surrounds this celebration. This playlist is from the darker side of the fish which we thought would suit the deeper side of Halloween!”

Dubbed “Absolute Power,” GoldFish has compiled a stellar Hulaween playlist for DA, jam packed with a diverse range of music from Lane 8, Avicii, Kidnap Kid, Moby, and more. Details and tickets, here.
