New Major Lazer documentary ‘Give Me Future’ captures historic Cuba show
Geopolitics, young music fans, and Major Lazer are all are in the cross-hairs of Major Lazer’s new documentary. In a new trailer, Major Lazer take their story far beyond the realms of a “day in the life” feature of the trio.
The trailer teases the complexity of throwing a dance music event in Cuba — a surprisingly complicated affair compared to the norm most are used to with global festivals. Things like lack of regular access to the internet, production infrastructure, and more all seeming to play a role in their Cuba show going off, a topic which trended in the news last year.
The documentary will also feature local Cuban musicians and music from Valentino Khan.
