UK house duo Tough Love team up with grammy nominated vocalist A*M*E for “Closer To Love”

London-based duo Tough Love have been rapidly rising through the ranks over the past few years, from winning “Best Single” in the Bass Music Awards in 2015 to being nominated for “Best Breakthrough Act” at the DJ Mag Awards just last year. Their tracks “So Freakin’ Tight” and their housey rework of Ginuwine’s renowned “Pony (Jump on it)” gained major headway in nailing Top 40 radio spots in the UK. They’ve also seen support from dance music tastemakers such as Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 and Danny Howard.

“Closer To Love” may prove to be their biggest hit to date, released off Island Records and teaming up with Grammy Award-nominated recording artist A*M*E, who rose from the ashes of her mother’s burnt down hair salon in Sierra Leone to become one of the most highly-regarded voices in house music. Alex and Stef create a perfect fusion of retro 90’s house and the more recent, upbeat “future house” sound, with feel-good piano riffs and riveting deep synths under A*M*E’s elegant vocals that make for an impeccable club track.
