Few acts are capable of breaking down the sonic barriers between jazz, disco, and deep house into a seamless sonic stream of consciousness like that of Detroit Swindle. The group, comprised of Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets, has been slinging out their Motown-leaning tunes for six years now. While it’s clear the pair is an enthusiastic duo of crate diggers and sample sleuths, it’s safe to say they’re equally as passionate about representing modern day electronic music in their sets as well.
