Mako releases first single as solo act, ‘Breathe’
All has been quiet on the Mako front ever since the duo of Alex Seaver and Logan Light saw Light depart. Seaver has now released his first single as a solo act, and the track, “Breathe,” is out now on Ultra Records.
The melodic track mixes rock, pop, and electronic elements to create a flowing track that can only be describes as pleasant. Seaver commented on his feelings that helped to shape the track.
The track is built around a pained style: a personal and soft voice telling an uplifting story…it’s ultimately something that’s powerful and moving, but it doesn’t come without a little bit of pain attached to it as well.
Upon the release of “Breathe”, Mako will head out on a 33-date North American tour in January of 2018 that envisions the project as a live four-piece featuring a guitarist, violinist, and drummer alongside Seaver on vocals and keys. See if Mako is coming to a city near you here.
