Matoma puts tropical twist on Clean Bandit and Julia Michaels’ ‘I Miss You’
Matoma is preparing for an enormous 2018.
Wrapping up the year with a performance at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, the artist will surely rip into 2018 with poise. On the heels of his album announcement for One In A Million and a tour set to kick off Jan. 11, he’s released an energized tropical house rework of Clean Bandit and Julia Michaels’ collaboration “I Miss You.”
Enlivening the subdued number right off the bat with record scratches, a balmy bassline sees out the same lively elements that allowed for “All Night” and “Old Thing Back” to rise in the house reigns. Matoma is divulging perfect music for the wintertime blues, only begging for the release of new work to be in the ears of his eager listeners.
