The Radar 101: Mixed by Gianni Blu
Chicago-based rising talent, Gianni Blu, has been making strides in developing his artist career with support from Martin Garrix and appearances on the Spotify Viral Charts. Recently releasing his single “Right Amount of Wrong,” Blu steps up to the decks to showcase his sonic palette on Dancing Astronaut’s The Radar mix series. While his own style certainly leans in the crossover space of house, the song choice in this mix showcases a more eclectic side to Blu’s project.
Opening with a disco-inspired rap cut from Ya Boy and quickly moving into more of a four-on-the-floor pace with Jauz’ Goodiez as well as Camelphat & Elderbrook’s “Cola,” Gianni Blu intertwines his own originals – “Thinking About You” and “Feeling It” – before diving into a few throwback remixes of the Fugees and Bob Marley to round it out.
