Watch Radiohead’s Thom Yorke debut new song ‘I’m A Very Rude Person’
Kicking off the jaunt was Yorke’s show at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre, where Consequence of Sound reports Yorke played out an extensive, 15-song set brimming with new and unreleased music.
Per a printed setlist release, two of the tracks were new, including “I Am A Very Rude Person” and “Saturdays.” Another track, “Two Feet Off the Ground,” which officially played out at a runway show in 2015, finally received its live debut. Yorke also played several known, but unreleased tracks including; “Impossible Knots,” “Not the News,” and “Traffic.”
Luckily, someone captured “I Am A Very Rude Person” which boasts sultry subdued croons from Yorke and a beauteous bassline thanks to Radiohead’s Nigel Godrich, as well as “Two Feet Off The Ground,” which are now both available for viewing.
Yorke’s set to make his film scoring debut next year with Surprisia, and will tour South America with Radiohead, but speculation around a new solo work following the new material is still looming. After the band was recently snubbed from an arguably long-overdue induction into the Rock Hall of Fame, a spectacular clapback wouldn’t be entirely out of character.
