William Crooks releases ‘Here With U’ EP

William Crooks has released his Here With U EP. The project is described by Crooks as “club music to cry to,” and features four original compositions.

“I wanted to make this next project an exploration of my vulnerabilities through original compositions. Somewhere between pop music, 80s ballads, breakup songs, and trap music, we find Here With U. I hope u enjoy!” says Crooks of the project. Here With U is an experimental attempt to coalesce elements from electronic, singer/songwriter, hip hop, trap, and pop music. Crooks’ liberal use of autotune is reminiscent of Bon Iver‘s latest album 22, a million and Kanye West on 808s and Heartbreak. The tragically infectious blend of diverse styles and off kilter production functions serve Crooks well, as the EP is certainly one of his most accomplished projects to date.
