A rogue hacker in New Zealand took over police radio with NWA’s ‘Fuck Tha Police’

A rogue actor in New Zealand hacked local radio waves and forced police to listen to NWA’s “Fuck Tha Police” repeatedly, in addition to a seemingly random grouping of Rage Against The Machine tracks. The track was originally released in 1988, and features lyrics such as “Fuck that shit, ‘cause I ain’t the one. For a punk motherfucker with a badge and a gun.”

According to Otaga Daily Times, a special inspector claims the song is putting people in danger.

“There’s no question that if it carries on, and if they do what they’re doing, it will delay a response,” said inspector Kevin Lloyd of the incident. “Any interference with a police radio constitutes a risk to public safety, and anyone caught doing this can face a penalty of criminal nuisance and up to one year imprisonment.”
