There are few acts who meet Above & Beyond‘s impeccable standards for vocal tracks. Not only are their lyrics relatable and well-written, but the group’s regular vocal contributors each provide a unique edge that make a song distinctly “Above & Beyond.”

One such vocalist, the venerable Justine Suissa, rejoined the trio for several songs on their newest Common Ground album endeavor — one of which has now become its newest single. “Cold Feet” shows off Above & Beyond’s expertise at using minimalism to create impact. They allow Suissa’s melancholy-tinged vocals to take precedence, building around them with emotive piano chords and a subtle, yet driving bassline. Her empowering lyrics of moving on from toxicity are reminiscent “Can’t Sleep” of Tri-state fame, with both singles serving as jewels within Above & Beyond’s repertoire.
