Kill Them With Colour brings the nostalgia with Destiny’s Child remix
Canadian producer Kill Them With Colour has tackled some massive rexmies over the span of his career, including renditions of Kendrick Lamar, Bon Iver, ZHU, and more. He’s also put his own spin on iconic girl power group Destiny’s Child for the second time.
In August 2014, he released a remix of the group’s “Independent Women,” which has more than half a million plays to date. Here in 2018, he’s taken on one of their most well-known hits: “Lose My Breath.”
For both remixes of the group, he’s dialed back the intensity of the originals for more subdued, minimalist versions of the songs. His “Lose My Breath” remix features a mellow, bouncing beat that’s primed for a summer dance floor. It has an undeniably different vibe from the original, which adds to its intrigue.
