German DJ Thomas Gold has already marked himself on the up and coming DJ list of 2009 with his smash hit Everybody Be Somebody, but he’s not done yet. This time a collaboration with the beautiful vocals of Amanda Wilson and a little help from Ian Carey and Brad Holland on the remix have produced ‘Just Because,’ a bass-thumping, head-throbbing masterpiece that is sure to become a staple of your club this holiday season. Probably one of the most iconic post-acid musicians to ever grace the scene Paul Walden aka Guru Josh is a man among boys in the world of house. However, most of his major success came in the 1990′s and it was not until 2008 when Big City Beats formed The Guru Josh Project and rereleased Infinity 2008 with DJ Klaas that Guru Josh would find major success in the new millennium. Peaking at number 1 around the globe, Infinity was a massive hit and now The Guru Josh Project is back with ‘Crying in the Rain,’ a synthetic, progressive house track that is guaranteed to get you off that seat. Swiss DJ EDX is one of the most successful DJ’s of the past several years having collaborated and remixed everyone from Bob Sinclar and Kaskade, to Yves Larock and Robbie Rivera. Now he’s back with an original track entitled Shy Shy that is bound to make its mark on charts everywhere. I personally have a thing for the Martin Roth OMFG remix (probably because that’s a great name for a remix…) but definitely check out all the remixes. Enjoy!

David Vendetta has been one of Europe’s premier DJ talents for decades and has worked with every major producer/DJ from Sebastian Ingrosso to Benny Benassi. He has played practically every major club in the world and now he’s released his newest single “She Turns Around” featuring remixes from Cosa Nostra, Hook N Sling, and Tony Arzadon. Here at Dancing Astronaut we have a love-hate relationship with Tiesto. While none of us would profess to be particularly big fans, we can all respect the man and his work. However, I must admit that his new single (the second single off his upcoming ‘Kaleidoscope’ album) ’Knock You Out’ featuring Emily Haines, definitely caught me off guard. A far more progressive/electro track than the majority of his previous catalogue, ‘Knock You Out’ combines an awesome mix of Tiesto’s signature sound with the accessibility of a good house mix. Together with the impressive Emily Haines vocals ‘Knock You Out’ is a pleasant surprise from the world famous Dutch DJ.

Late Night Alumni is a side project of American producer and DJ Ryan Raddon (Kaskade). Mixing soft-trance with progressive synths, and the vocals of their lead Becky Jean Williams, ‘You Can Be The One’ was the first single released from the group in several years. However, it was not until now with the release of the Sultan and Ned Shepard Remix, that ‘You Can Be The One’ has truly found its element as a progressive-inspired epic. The remix adds nearly 4 minutes of pure bliss and house-goodness to the track and is sure to garner airtime around the world. Enjoy!

This week Dancing Astronaut’s Throwback Thursday features the dance sensation that consumed 2006, ‘What  a Feeling’ by Peter Luts. Debuting at number 24 on the Billboard Dance Charts and eventually making it’s way to number 1, ‘What a Feeling’ has risen among the ranks to become a classic dance anthem across the globe. Enjoy.

Originally co-written by British pop-sensation Mr. Hudson and the infamous hip hop frontman Kanye West, ‘Supernova’ debuted in the UK back in May of 2009. However, it was not until now, with a little help from club legend and Dancing Astronaut favorite Calvin Harris, that ‘Supernova’ has finally found it’s true potential as a club centerpiece. Combining the fantastic vocals of Mr. Hudson  and Kanye, Harris found a way to navigate the song in a more electronic house-inspired path. Enjoy!

Since we’re in the spirit of remixes lately here at Dancing Astronaut, I thought I would throw out a recent favorite of my own. Canadian producer and DJ, Deadmau5 has been on fire lately with a number of hits including the incredibly popular ‘Ghosts N Stuff’. Now he returns to the studio remixing Danish pop singer’s hit single ‘You and I’, creating a brilliant blend of captivating vocals and house beats. This is little mellower than we’ve been posting lately, but hey, we all have slow days right? Enjoy.
