Hi Tack says says says MJs the man (and he is, dammit)

Throwback Thursday… Hi Tack came with this great sample from the Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney collaboration called “Say Say Say”.  This song is one of my favorites and puts a contemporary twist that revived the song that was never a huge hit.

Jody Den Broeder and Rihanna make me Hard

Jody Den Broeder blesses our musical sexuality with this sweet remix of the new hitter from Rihanna.  Expect this one to be bumpin in a club near you but since you got it here first you can brag to your friends that you had this blasting in your car before the club even played it and you think its cool because you’re a little tipsy but it’s really not even that cool…except it is because our name is Dancing Astronaut.

The Twelves and La Roux are in it to kill it

It’s been a while since any releases by the twleves. The Brazillian duo have some of the smoothest disco house music out there. They are one of my favorites and I love the spin they put on La Roux’s “In for the Kill”.  It’s on the softer side but definitely a groovable song.

Steve Aoki Does Forever

Steve Aoki, the Prince of Benihana, tears up this hip-hop-all-star track! Aoki is a native of Southern California and one of the top Djs in the world.  I love what he did with this one.

Make sure to check out these huge Steve Aoki tracks if you haven’t already heard them: Warp with the Bloody Beetroots, I’m in the House

Inna – Love (Lakz electro mix)

The sexy Russian singer has a unique style and a lot her songs have a treble used for percussion instruments which makes them a little softer.  The electro touch Lakz puts on “Love” takes it to the next level and if it wasn’t already a club banger it most certainly is now.

Spencer & Hill – Trespasser (Barocco remix)

From his pod in outer space the Dancing Astronaut picks up on Gigi Barocco tearing up the new single,’Trespasser,’ from German super DJs Spencer and HIll! The discofunk sounding remix takes the song to a new level.  The remix is guaranteed to get the Coco Chanel chics in the little black dresses shaking it like a polaroid picture. It sounds like the singer is saying “I just wanna beer” but if you listen to the original its just a sample Barocco took from the hook.  For our sake though we’re going to pretend it says “I just  want a beer!” and it’s an ode to Oktoberfest from Spencer and Hill.

Ground Control to DancingAstronaut:  Ear arousal achieved, bitches.

Duck Sauce – aNYway

They put the oogie in your boogie and the unk in your funk!! Two major DJs, Armand Van Helden and A-Trak come together to form the group ‘Duck Sauce’ and shake booties  everywhere. A-trak seems to be taking a page out of his little brother Dave1′s (Chromeo lead singer) book with the disco style and retro video.

‘Anyway’ was one of the big hits of the summer but the music video just got released and it was too fly not to post.

BONUS: Mega classic song from Armand Van Helden 1999… and it’s not even Throwback Thursday yet.
