Swedish House Mafia – One (Congorock Remix)

I’ve been sitting on this song for way too long. Heard it first at EDC during LBL’s set. Congorock is definitely my pick for favorite up and coming producer. His sound is awesome.

Swedish House Mafia – One (Congorock Remix)

There are a bunch of other songs I’ve been dying to post for way too long and just haven’t gotten around to it. Here are three. The first is Bart B More’s remix of Florrie’s hit “Call 911.” I really liked the BeatauCue’s remix and I thought about posting it, but after hearing Bart B More’s version I had to post his. Another HEAVY drop from B More at 1:00.

Florrie – Call 911 (Bart B More Remix)

The next one is Jack Beat’s newest track. It’s a great summer electro house track, with some money wobble.

Jack Beats – Out of Body

Last but not least. I’m not a big dubstep fan by any means, but I was just introduced to Linton Brown by a friend of mine. His stuff is really good, not too much on the bass and not too fast with the breaks. He also does a great job with vocals (although they aren’t featured heavily on this track). This track isn’t new by any means, but watch out for Linton. He reminds me of a more dubby version of Jack Beats. Shout out to JohnBoy for the introduction.

Linton Brown – Horndog

Mohombi – Bumpy Ride (Chuckie Remix)

Just released today via Chuckie’s soundcloud, here is Chuckie’s most recent remix. It starts more progressive than I’ve ever heard from Chuckie, but the drop at 2:15 is just ridiculously filthy.

Afrojack Essential Mix 7/9/2010

For those of you that didn’t hear, Dancing Astronaut mega-fave Afrojack did the most recent essential mix. The tracklist and set was just released today. It’s massive. I think the beginning is crazy and when I saw the track he led with I went nuts.

Diddy – Hello Good Morning (Chuckie’s Bad Boy went Dirty Dutch Remix)

This song completely caught me by surprise. Hadn’t heard anything about it then all of sudden it’s in my lap. And it’s fire!

Fake Blood – I Think I Like It (Tommie Sunshine & Figure present EC$TASY Edit)

I’ve come to realize that it is possible some of our followers don’t realize how legit Tommy Sunshine is. So for a small sampling, here is the EC$TASY (a project between Tommie and Figure) remix of Fake Blood’s classic “I Think I Like It.” And for those of you at EDC, Duck Sauce dropped this track as well. Tore the crowd apart. Disco house at its finest.

Sky Walker Recaps EDC

Okay first off this post is long and most of you are probably going to skip straight to tracks, which is fine. Secondly, this post mainly focuses on the Boys Noize and Duck Sauce sets, but they were just two of my three favorite sets. My other favorite was Laidback Luke set at the main field (KineticField). He absolutely killed it despite having to follow Will.I.Am (WORST DJ EVER, didn’t even mix his songs most times, just paused, rapped terribly off the cuff, then picked a new song). Most of the songs I loved during his set have already been posted here on Dancing Astronaut. The main exception is “Turbulence,” his new song with Steve Aoki featuring Lil’ Jon (which still hasn’t been released three months after Aoki first dropped in a live set – frustrating). The video above is LBL dropping the song. Unbelievable drop and check out those visuals.

Okay might as well go in order. I got there a little late, but through some hard work was able to make it down to KineticField for Afrojack’s set. His set was great, but it didn’t feature any new songs that I hadn’t heard before. He did drop “Take Over Control” again, the song I’ve been looking forward to for what feels like forever. Afrojaque, if you are listening, release it already! Next was Will.I.Am who almost singlehandedly killed the party. Then LBL came up massive for me and the whole crowd. The last set I saw at the main field was Benny Benassi, who once again disappointed in comparison to his massive WMC set.

I then made my way to CosmicMeadow to catch the end of Wolfgang Gartner’s set (a very solid set) and then Duck Sauce’s set. According to my important calculations, EDC was only the second time Duck Sauce have actually performed together (the first time was at WMC). They were unbelievable. Honestly, they must have like 10 unreleased tracks, because some of the best songs were songs I had never heard before. They did play many of the songs we’ve posted here at DA, including “The Motion,” “aNYway,” “Grand Steppin,’” and the still unreleased version of “Barbra Streisand.” Two songs that I did recognize that they played by other artists are posted below. The Carte Blanche song was right as they started hitting their groove and Louis La Roche song was at the height of their set. The Louis La Roche song is especially good. I love that Duck Sauce is bringing disco back but with heavier bass. Fuck yeah.

Next was Boys Noize. I’ve now seen him live three times, and every time it’s been perfect. Even if you don’t like listening to his tracks when you’re just chilling with friends, the way he performs at concerts is well worth any price of admission. His set was power techno at its finest. He opened by building up to Rynecologist’s Turbine Mix of his song “Kontact Me.” See the video below (not to post two videos in the same post, but the fact is EDC was epic so I have to pull out all of the stops). I’ve posted the song below. Some of my other favorites from his set were are posted below. The DIM and TAI song has the craziest 2nd drop ever at 2:30. Honestly, it is just a weird song until that point. But I’ve seen it played live five times now and every single time the crowd goes crazy at that drop. His Justice remix is hands down amazing. No need for any more description. Beyond those songs, he also played his N.E.R.D. remix I posted a week ago and he ended with his Feist remix I posted a while back. Once again, he also dropped Part B More’s soon to be classic “Brap!,” which I’ve literally been waiting on for three months and it still won’t be released until mid-August. I dare you to find a track with a heavier bass. The first time I heard Boys Noize drop it, he stepped back from the tables and just flexed as the drop hit.

Okay thanks for bearing with me if you read this whole thing. Don’t worry, we’ll be back to short posts from now on. Without further ado, the second video and the tracks.
