Artists like Madeon and M4SONIC have wowed the digital world with their dexterity behind the 8×8 grid controller called the Novation Launchpad where they have devised colorful, live productions right at the tip of their fingers. Novation introduced their first Launchpad back in 2009 and has since expanded the Launch Family adding controller pads with knobs, keyboards, sound levels, and much more, but soon, their flagship product, Launchpad “S,” will be receiving a serious upgrade.

Via the video above performed by Buddy Peace, Novation explains their new Launchpad’s features are set to include a multitude of expansive additions, such as immediate integration with Ableton Live, RGB LEDS on the pads that are color coordinated to the tracks in Ableton, drum pad capabilities, record loops on the fly, mixing freedom, and much more. No date has been announced for the released of the new version, but those hoping to buy one should begin brushing up on their Launchpad skills before the updated version is released.
