Dillon Francis delivers high-octane rework of J Balvin’s ‘Mi Gente’

J Balvin and Willy William‘s “Mi Gente has undeniably been one of the biggest hits of 2017. In fact, the tune ranked in the top ten songs streamed on Spotify this summer, landing at the No. 5 spot. The reggaeton smash hit has already garnered more than a billion plays since the track’s release, and now, to further cement the track’s stance on the dance floor, “Mi Gente” has garnered its very own remix package.

Lifting the track in an incredibly high octane moombahton-influenced fashion is none other than Dillon Francis. With a slow lead into the new, more upbeat number, the artist’s reworking does justice to the J Balvin original. Additionally, the killer remix exemplifies the artist’s forte for Latin-inspired music, a front he’s expressed his interest in expanding on earlier this year.

In the full remix package for the tune, fans of the number are also treated to some of EDM’s top powerhouses serving up reproductions. AlessoSteve AokiSunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and more also bring forth their own takes on this summertime rotational hit. Rising acts Cedric Gervais and LA-based Henry Fong jump in too to bring it home.
