Moog announces new semi-modular percussive synthesizer
Moog Music has just announced a brand new monophonic, analog drum machine, the DFAM — short for “Drummer From Another Mother.”
DFAM is the first addition to Moog’s Mother ecosystem of semi-modular analog synthesizers and is labeled as a vibrant deviation from the traditional drum machine. DFAM presents a more expressive hands-on approach than previously seen in percussive pattern creation through the machine’s deep throb capabilities, hypersonic plinks, and everything in between.
According to Moog, “DFAM’s fully analog circuitry behaves much like a living organism, reacting in different ways to input from different individuals.”
DFAMs come complete with a package of patch cables, which aid in the interconnectivity to the synthesizer’s 24-point modular patchbay and can be used with an unlimited number of DFAM or Mother-32 synthesizers joined together or fully integrated into a modular Eurorack production environment.
