Boys Noize – Euphoria (Feat. Remy Banks)

Boys Noize has been putting forth releases with the rapid-fire frequency of a gatling gun in 2016. Since releasing the supremely caustic “Overthrow” in February, Alex Ridha has released a series of nostalgic productions in addition to this year’s installment of his annual Miami Noize compilation series. Now, Ridha has teamed up with rapper Remy Banks to create “Euphoria,” a cerebrally curious track with tinges of techno and tech house.”Euphoria” seems to draw influence from the realm of Pleasurekraft and Green Velvet. Based around sporadically arranged organ-like tones, formidable percussion, and Banks’ asthmatic vocalizations, the song is as jaunty as it is dark, and as challenging as it is danceable.

Perhaps more exciting than the release of “Euphoria” itself, however, is its artwork. For his newest track, Boys Noize has chosen to reprise the formatting and stylization from the cover design of “Overthrow,” as if to subtly suggest that both releases are part of a larger series. Ridha said in 2015 that he “a full album almost ready,” so perhaps his following will not have to wait much longer for the fourth Boys Noize LP.
