Afrojack’s picture should be next to the word ‘relentless’ in the dictionary. Actually, maybe his picture should be next to the word ‘guarantee’, because it is certain that his tracks are ridiculously amazing. Maybe we should just replace Albert Einstein with Afrojack as the standard-bearer for ‘genius’. Either way his new progressive track ‘Chords’ is downright brilliant. The two remixes posted below are great (my personal favorite out of the package is the Eran Hersh & Darmon remix). BOMBER!

I was expecting to be blown away but…was not. This is boring and uninspired!! I like his other stuff but this just isn’t his best. :(
Side note: Afrojack does NOT deserve to be compared to Albert Einstein, let alone deserve to replace him. He’s good but you really shouldn’t make comparisons like that. You sound “ridiculously” silly!
Yeah, not really feeling this track. I mean, I guess it’s okay for a chilled-out kind of vibe. But like Erica said, sounds pretty uninspired.
Also, theoretical physics and EDM. Not sure if that’s really comparable haha.
What if I am ridiculous and silly at the same time?
Stop posting bad songs whilst deeming them God-sent and you can be as ridiculous and/or silly as you’d like!
You have ears – use them, okay?
I thought my speakers were going to explode,
then they did;
with awesomeness.
Chill… Senthil does a pretty good job at uploading quality tunes. Besides its not his fault any new Afrojack track is always auto-upload material.
I fully disagree!!! It IS Senthil’s fault for making a mediocre track sound like the best thing ever solely because it was by Afrojack! I am calling him out for name-dropping and being misleading. It’s as if he posted the song without listening to it!
Otherwise, I love your site :)
Don’t get me wrong, I love Afrojack… but sometimes he comes out with tracks like this that are just a compilation of noises.
you’re bunk and senthil the reigns parallel kingdoms of bro and house.
I didn’t mean to interrupt your bromance of castles and rainbows! Just speaking my mind as a faithful listener…crap music is crap and flowery hyperbolic words can’t hide that! Cheers!
Exactly!
dont go the site then?
Erica,
Just a few questions. What if I thought the track really was brilliant? How about the fact that Afrojack is mainly known for his dutch drops, however can completely change up his style and move to a more progressive sound?
Not to mention this track was dropped by the likes of David Guetta, Martin Solveig, and Tocadisco before it even came out.
Who determines the quality of a song? Well the obvious answer is…the people who listen to the music aka ‘the fans’. Now if we were to take a general consensus of people who ‘liked’ or ‘disliked’ this song…I can guarantee you that the overwhelming vote would be towards ‘like’.
Special thanks to fellow bro’s dejavoodoo and Brett for the support. All this being said..I still have plenty of love for you Erica and I whole heartedly support your enthusiasm for house.
This was a long message. I am tired after writing this. Must divulge in multiple libations.
Such a love fest in here. How about agree to disagree?
Don’t let the big names cloud your judgment of a song on its own. Make sure the song moves you! And instead of being so damn stubborn, why don’t you listen to your readers? There’s a reason 4/5 of the initial comments on this post were negative or lukewarm at best.
All I’m asking is that you spend the time to REALLY listen to a track before man jizzing all over it with your prose. On top of that it’s simply really hard for us as readers and listeners to discern between tracks if you’re telling us they’re all “f*cking amazing” or whatever. It’s especially disappointing when you praise lukewarm songs like “Chords”.
In the future I promise to be less abrasive with my comments, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be paying closer attention to your posts. Please do not take your responsibility as a blogger for granted. Believe it or not, what you say influences our expectations.
at first when i heard this song on my shitty computer speakers i was like “meh” but then when i plugged it into the stereo and gave it another go i really liked it. It isnt his usual style and all but still a great track, reminds me a bit of some of pryda´s work.
You have a sense of humor use it, i dont think senthil was 100% serious in comparing afrojack to einstein GIGGITY
hahaha Best Comment award
