I know people are going to give me a hard time for posting a picture of Justin Timberlake instead of Kaskade, but there’s no denying the ex-N’SYNC-er and recent star of ‘The Social Network’ is one talented motherf*cker. No homo.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to the music:

Today’s Forgotten Friday selection is an underrated Kaskade gem from 2006 whose overall success was eclipsed by the Tiësto remix of LoveStoned. It’s a shame, really, because the song features a certain level of subtlety that usually takes DJs years to perfect; that very subtlety that transforms this radio hit into a sexy groover. Envision this:

The track kicks off in Ibiza with a somewhat misleading chill out vibe that really sets the sunset cabana mood until about a quarter of the way through. At that point, out of nowhere Kaskade’s signature smooth synths drop and you’re suddenly dragged indoors by some gorgeous female (or male, for you ladies) to the dance floor. You guys groove it out for the next minute and a half until about the 3:05 mark, where things slow down and you lock eyes with your newfound Spanish beau. Timbaland’s iconic guitar riffs gradually envelop you both as the synths start to creep back in. Her sweat is bouncing off your body and your sweat is bouncing off hers as the vocals collide head-on with the Kaskade’s instrumental goodness. The song finally hits its full stride at 3:48 and all you can think to yourself is, “Thank God the song doesn’t leave me wanting more because her dancing all up on me does. She’s bad and she knows.”
