Did you happen to catch the Swedish House Mafia/Usher performance at the 2010 American Music Awards? If so, then you’ve already heard Alexandra Damiani‘s work because it was her remix/mash-up of “Miami 2 Ibiza” & “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” that was being played from the tables of Axwell, Angello, and Ingrosso.
Known for her stellar mash-ups of hits by the likes of Avicii, Roger Sanchez, and Thomas Gold, Damiani takes a step away from mixing into the world of production with this fantastic EDM-ified version of Swedish band The Ark’s “It Takes A Fool To Remain Sane.” Special credit goes to Da Brozz, the Italian brotherly duo responsible for this big-room rework.
Start listening at the 1:00 mark and you’ll be met with SHM-esque synths, uplifting redone vocals by John Biancale, and an eventual build/drop at 2:30 that makes it very difficult to remain sane [on the dance floor]. Vocal enthusiasts will find this song particularly tasty.
