Avicii takes Leona Lewis to court: injunction hearing scheduled for Monday

Looks like Avicii is really not messing around in this little “Collide” situation. According to Guardian UK, a high court is scheduled to “hear a plea for an injunction from dance music producer Avicii,” in response to his allegations that “Collide” is a copy of his original track, “Fade Into Darkness.” If the court upholds Avicii and Ministry of Sound’s request, it’ll mean that the September 4th release of “Collide” would be stopped — a major victory for the young Swede’s camp indeed. By now you should know the backstory here and what’s going on in the situation, but interestingly enough, Sony Music and Syco still have yet to comment. Looks like the jig will be up on Monday when a judge will get to make a decision — heck, maybe the big guys will start talking then. Keep it locked for more.

[Thanks, Stephen]
