Arty at Electric Zoo 2011 Day 3: 5 tracks you need to know
Arty is probably not a name you’ve heard much of yet, but mark our words, you’re going to start to hear it more and more as word gets out about this young Russian DJ and producer. We caught him live for the first time at the Riverside stage on day three of Electric Zoo and were very impressed with his song choices that have just the right mix of progressive house and trancey touches to sway those who haven’t yet explored that particular genre. We’ve chosen our five favorite tracks from the set to share with you to give you a taste of what to expect if you see his name around. Check it out after the break — along with a bunch of photos from the awesome tent on the Island.
This is the standard Arty track making the rounds right now in everyone’s sets from Avicii to Afrojack and if you’re looking to get acquainted, it’s a great place to start.
Just pure, unadulterated beautiful house music. The buildup and break down are perfection.
If you like chill piano chords and sultry Calvin Harris vocals, you’ll probably like this mashup that Arty’s been dropping in his livesets for a while.
This is just so good: elegant vocals over a beautiful trance track that’s upbeat and an instant head-bobber.
You most likely know Imogen Heap’s “Hide and Seek” by now, but you’ve never heard it like this.
*Bonus: Cosmic Gate vs. Planet Funk – Back To Chasing The Sun (Arty Mashup – Vondarto Reconstruction)
A classic Cosmic Gate track in the form of “Back To Earth” with a nice vocal that accompanies it well.
PS: Please don’t ask us where to download these mashups and please don’t post links in the comments. It’s not that hard to do a Google search ;)
