There hasn’t been all that much news out of Ultra Music Festival since early bird tickets sold out, but it has been revealed today that the event is relocating to Bayfront Park in downtown Miami. The new venue promises a larger capacity and expanded footprint at a new spot right by the water. They also mention a new “lush green landscape” which could turn out either really cool, or really lame. UMF has been around for a while and we’re glad to see them expanding. We hope they pull out all the stops for this one.

the only problem i see with the lush green landscape is the potential for a dust bowl.. we had the same problemin NYC with Electric Zoo up until this year. Hopefully the city doesn’t get too pissed when their lush greenery gets destroyed and looks more like a brown muddy mess as a result of 50K people a day dancing all over it for 12 hours..I’m definitely hoping for the best though.. Ultra 2012 is going to be sick =)
