San Francisco-based producer Jared F released his first EP, “Can’t Feel My Heart Beat,” this week on Slam Recordings. The original mix is a hard-hitting progressive track that samples a Kelis vocal, from which the song gets its name. While categorized as progressive house on Beatport, Jared F’s style is an energy-packed fusion of big room builds and dutchy/electro inspired drops.

Also featured on the EP are well-know open format DJ/remixer, DJ Kue, as well as LA-based producer Mike Balance, who has worked with artists from the likes of Dave Aude to Lady GaGa. While DJ Kue’s version turns “Can’t Feel My Heart Beat” into a more commercial dance song, Mike Balance puts an electro house twist on the track that gives it a totally different feel.
