Beatport introduced Beatport Play today, a new platform designed to help give exposure to up-and-coming producers by offering exclusive remix contest opportunities. Launching alongside the service is a contest for Steve Aoki’s “Ladi Dadi,” off his latest album Wonderland (which we reviewed right here). There are also contests for Chuckie’s “What Happens In Vegas,” and Bingo Players’ “Rattle.”

The platform looks to be a direct competitor to Indaba Music, and supports submissions, voting, and judging all from within the Beatport site. Entrants can download parts of tracks to help them get started, but otherwise you’re able to get as crazy as you want. Given Beatport’s reach in the EDM community we’re sure that this’ll take off pretty quickly, and who knows, maybe we’ll end up with some more new breakout talent for the year 2012.
