Chris Moody meshes a knocking dance beat with a very rock ‘n’ roll sensibility on his latest track, the aptly-named “Rock Me.” Gritty vocals from Ashtrobot give the track an harder edge, making it a welcome departure from every electro-house track out there. “Rock Me” employs EDM’s traditional build-up/drop structure, but Moody’s simple tweaks – slowing down the drums and taking the melody up an octave – makes it sound fresh.
