Martin Solveig’s set was one of the many amusing acts that Dancing Astronaut got to witness at Pacha NYC’s 6th year anniversary bash. Solveig’s productions are distinct from most EDM tracks, and sitting down with the mature — yet extremely young-hearted — Frenchman confirmed that he is is very much an artist of his own. Before he began spinning, Solveig showcased his humble and commendable attitude by taking the mic and praising his fellow DJ Hardwell for delivering a praiseworthy set, not to mention shouting out Skrillex’s “First Of The Year” as his top track of 2011. After canceling his much anticipated set at Electric Zoo last year, Solveig had to make it up to his NY fans somehow, and his energetic two-and-a-half hour set certainly did the job.
