Bassnectar’s new album, VAVAVOOM, is dropping April 10th and in preparation for its release he is giving away one of the tracks — “Ugly.” Lorin Ashton, the man behind Bassnectar, has absolutely mastered the womp and “Ugly” is evidence of this unique skill. The song is a monster that carefully straddles the dubstep and drum ‘n’ bass genres. While most of the tracks we tend to post hover around 130 beats per minute, “Ugly” clocks in at a whopping 174.
