Ultra Music Festival 2012 throwback track countdown: 2 Days To Go
All week we’ve been counting down the days to Ultra by compiling a list of some of the biggest songs from last year’s festival. So far we’ve rehashed massive tracks by Mark Knight, Dirty South, and Michael Woods, and with just two days to go, we’ve got a track of epic proportions to help kick things into overdrive.
Despite being released in 2010, Steve Angello, AN21, and Max Vangeli’s remix of Pendulum’s “The Island” is still one of our favorite productions to date. The infectious vocals and unforgettable drop earned this track our coveted “anthem status,” and its longevity has proven it worthy of such a title. In an age where technology allows music to be produced and released on a daily basis, it’s easy to forget about yesterday’s songs and move on to the flavor of the week. This track, however, has simply refused to go away. Almost 2 years after its initial release, “The Island” is just as amazing as it was the first time we heard it, and we can almost guarantee that if you’re heading to Miami, you’re bound to hear it at least once.
