Alexander Lager and Johannes Gustafsson, the Swedish duo otherwise known as Qulinez, released their remix of Don Diablo’s “Silent Shadows” on Co
lumbia Records today. As a follow-up to recent successful productions including “A Heavy Abacus” and “Troll,” Qulinez’s latest remix continues in the vein of their signature electro style. While maintaining the chord progression and wobbly undertones of Don Diablo’s original, Qulinez adds a building, whiny synth coupled with a heavy electro kickdrum. The eclectic mix of dubstep-inspired distortions, progressive synths, and hard-hitting electro make the Swedes’ latest track as danceable as it is unique.
