EDC NY livesets now available for download (update: R3hab, Chuckie, and more)

Insomniac Events is borrowing the MetLife stadium this weekend for a little music festival called the Electric Daisy Carnival. For a few glorious hours, some of the world’s biggest DJs have descended upon the New York Giants’ stadium and surrounding parking lots, which have been spectacularly transformed. We’ve brought you photos and video, and now, thanks to our friends at House4DJ, we have live sets.

It’s summer, folks. The American EDM festival circuit is now in full swing, and the big-room heavyweights are adjusting nicely to the change in scale. Enjoy yourselves — and let us know your favorites in the comments.

Update: R3hab, Chuckie, Shermanology, and Alesso have gone ahead and uploaded their sets to SoundCloud. Grab the free downloads below. Similarly, TheFuture.FM has all the sets available to stream without any of the Zippyshare nastiness — but sadly you can’t download.

  1. I was there Saturday. I hadn’t really been exposed to trance prior, but Armin’s set literally changed my life. Also, Thomas Gold was incredible.

  2. armin was good – but carl cox was the highlight of the weekend. for the love of god – what a fucking set.

  3. Chuckie was the best, r3hab second, alesso third. Avicii had a really good set (few steps up from his usual self-hit playlist) but bass was too high/drowned out his melodies (same with ingrosso, to some extent). Didn’t see AvB but he usually kills it.

  4. i thought calvins set was undeniably the best and i liked aviciis set so much more after i downloaded it and listened on the computer… like you said i actually heard more of the songs and it was downright amazing… one of the best festival djs in the world

  5. Thank you once again, dancing astronaut for coming through with these sets. I need to relive my amazing days at EDC but I still NEED the live set for steve angello.

  6. Hands down Chuckie was the best, Steve Angelo second, Alesso/Calvin Harris were equally incredible, Afrojack was kinda disappointing halfway through, R3hab was SICK

  7. Steve Angelo was okay, Calvin Harris seemed so uninvested, Alesso was great but had many bad transitions, R3hab was awesome, Sebastien Ingrosso was phenomenal he mixed three songs at the same time and they all sounded great, and Afrojack was awesome, I saw him perform 3 times and he was very invested and played a whole bunch of different songs.

So I’d say, Chuckie, Afrojack, Sebastian Ingrosso, R3hab, and Thomas Gold
Bassnectar was also great, I’d say overall the Sunday lineup was so much more hyper and invested than Saturday.

  8. They all got deleted due to Sirus XM copyright infringements :( Wish I could get the Madeon and Cazzette sets along with the others mentioned already.

  9. you can find almost every set here: http://www.beatmyday.com/2012/05/19/electric-daisy-carnival-new-york-2012/#axzz1vC5zgtaW

  10. I wasn’t there, (going to LV) but from the sets i’ve listened to, Shermanology and Chuckie are my favorite, they both seemed like the most unique experiences of the weekend, loved all of Chuckies NYC shout outs, it’s awesome to see a truly one of a kind set during festival season, I feel like theres often very similar sets during these couple of months.
