Jay Lumen & Gary Beck – Lotus EP
Jay Lumen has been on our radar since dropping his Teach Us EP, so we were thrilled to see him link up with techno-master Gary Beck for two new tracks. The collaborative effort between Lumen and Beck is an EP entitled Lotus, lead by dark and groovy tech-house crafted for the after hours. The title track, “Lotus,” builds on a chugging drumline and works into echoing chords for a contagious dance beat. The second track, “Strange Fruit,” is the lighter effort, featuring a summery tech-house bounce that gives the EP some relief.
