Oh, and there’s even a new Dirty South podcast too. Keep reading for the goods.

MORE NEWS AND MUSIC

1. Co-owner and managing partner of XS Las Vegas Jesse Waits has penned a nice article for the Las Vegas Sun. He discusses why dance music is here to stay, offering a unique perspective on an oft-debated topic.

2. Huffington Post Entertainment has a profile on the “rave king” Pasquale Rotella. He speaks candidly on the pitfalls of the dance music scene, the decision to pull the plug on EDC Vegas Saturday, and his corruption charges. It’s a must read for anyone who claims to follow this scene.

3. House legend Jacques Lu Cont is back with a free download. Check out his new track “Underground” and grab the free download on Soundcloud!

4. Dirty South released his July podcast, Phazing Radio, which is loaded with remixes and favorites alike. Grab it on iTunes here.

6. Spinnin’ Records has released the official video for Digitalism V’s Tommy Trash “Falling” music video. It’s definitely unlike any other dance music video we’ve seen yet. See for yourselves below.

7. Insomniac has shared its video recap from Electric Forest. Safe to say that this was yet another awesome Insomniac event.

8. Zeds Dead also channels the retro-vibe for “The Living Dead” music video. Peep it below.

9.The Disco Fries released a free bootleg via Soundcloud. The track blends Calvin Harris’ “Let’s Go” acapella with several other productions, including Mord Mustang, Nicky Romero, and Beltek.
