Madeon has released a The City EP today on popcultur, bringing us three tracks we’ve already been jamming to for a while and a few new remixes to change things up. In addition to original and extended cuts of the title track — which also got a cool music video a few weeks ago — we get a ‘live version’ of “Icarus” and a Fred V and Graffix remix, along with Netsky’s take on “Finale.”

Netsky injects his English drum-and-bass vibes into Madeon’s original, spicing up “Finale” with less progressive sounds but maintaining the vocal and starting melody of the original.  Similarly, Fred V and Graffix preserve the original disco sounds of the original “Icarus,” but quickly speed up the tempop to bring more driving undertones and a completely different drop. Their remix isn’t quite as strong as the original, but have a listen for yourselves and pick up the full EP on Beatport below.
