Put down your cup of coffee, you won’t need it now that you’ll be listening to Wolfgang Gartner’s Essential Mix. The non-stop two-hour set is full of some of electro’s finest, including tracks like “Illmerica” and “Undertaker” that put Wolfgang himself on the map and defined the era of electronic music. A little over two years old, this mix sounds anything but trite. Instead, it offers sounds that make you say, “Hey! I need more of that in my ears!”

Just in case you are unfamiliar with Wolfgang Gartner, his latest release was September’s Love & War EP. He also runs a label called Kindergarten Recordings, which houses artists like Popeska and Charlie Darker.

Listening to this hard collection of tracks, it’s almost impossible to believe that Gartner (whose real name is Joey Youngman) had a well-established deep house career before becoming the man we know today. In any case, he knows how to party and will hopefully help keep your eyes open this morning.
