Showtek makes pop crossover, produces Chris Brown’s ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ (Update: Showtek only co-produced)
Showtek made their official crossover into mainstream pop music by producing Chris Brown’s forthcoming Top 40 hit, “Nobody’s Perfect.” Following in the footsteps of producers including David Guetta, Diplo, and Swedish House Mafia, the Dutch duo lay down their progressive house flavor under a major singer’s vocals to create a radio-friendly track. Chris Brown is no stranger to working with some of dance music’s biggest names, having already collaborated with the likes of David Guetta and Benny Benassi. Showtek, who also wrote the song, combine powerful leads and giant rolling synths layered over hard-hitting kick drums in a similar vein as previous releases including “Cannonball” and “How We Do.” Listen to the radio rip below and let us know how you feel about the latest dance act to make the pop crossover in the comments section below.
Update: We’ve been informed that Showtek is only the co-producer behind Chris Brown’s “Nobody’s Perfect.” The song’s producer is Lukas Hilbert.
