Insomniac’s ‘Discovery Project’ seeks out talented producers to perform an opening set at White Wonderland NYE
For its second annual New Year’s Eve celebration, White Wonderland, Insomniac has created the chance of a lifetime for one lucky contestant. The Discovery Project pits daring contestants against one another to showcase their mastery of house music in the production and DJing arenas. To enter, you must remix the track “Countdown” by Bunny — it’s the one featured in the White Wonderland trailer — and then submit a thirty-minute DJ mix that reflects what you intend to play if you were opening the house stage at White Wonderland. If selected, you will join the White Wonderland lineup on New Year’s Eve alongside some of the biggest names in dance music today. Click past the break for full contest details.
STEP 1: GET STARTED
Fill out the contest entry form below in order to be considered.
STEP 2: CREATE YOUR REMIX AND DJ MIX
Remix the track from the White Wonderland trailer, ‘Countdown’ by Bunny. Use the official track stems, available at www.discoveryproject.com. Plus, show us your DJing skills by recording a 30-minute DJ mix.
STEP 3: SUBMIT YOUR DJ MIX
Upload your DJ mix to Mixcloud, titling it Discovery Project: White Wonderland and tagging it Discovery Project: White Wonderland. If you do not tag your mix exactly like this, it will go unnoticed. Include the competition cover art, available at www.discoveryproject.com, and add an accurate tracklist.
STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR ‘COUNTDOWN’ REMIX
Click Upload below to submit your remix to our dropbox. Please submit an MP3 file with a minimum bitrate of 128kbps. SET YOUR TRACK TO PUBLIC AND DISABLE DOWNLOADS. Do not use any uncleared samples. Include Discovery Project: White Wonderland in the title of your track. Include the competition cover art, available here.
The submission deadline is: Dec. 17th at 11:59:59pm PST.

Please note:
This competition is open only to residents of the U.S. age 21 or older.
For this competition, we’re only accepting submissions that fall within the umbrella of ‘house,’ such as tech house, electro house, disco house, etc.
Submitting more than one track to our dropbox during the submission phase may disqualify you.
If selected, you MUST WEAR ALL WHITE during your performance!
