Teedra Moses – Be Your Girl (Kaytranada Edition)

Set off this snowy Saturday morning right with some soul via Kaytranada’s remix of “Be Your Girl.” I recently learned that Teedra Moses is the first lady of Maybach Music, but I’m only familiar with her pre-Rick Ross work. “Be Your Girl” was releaed in 2004 as part of her Complex Simplicity album and is, in its original form, jazzy and emotional. Montreal producer Kaytranada speeds up the BPM and adds some hand claps to transform the chilled out tune into a funky uptempo one.
