Creamfields UK announces stacked lineup, spends £500,000 on site improvements
The lineup for this year’s Creamfields UK festival in Daresbury is out. Major headline shows include an exclusive set from The Prodigy, along with Eric Prydz, Avicii, David Guetta, Richie Hawtin and Loco Dice, and many more. There will be individual stages for big chunk of dance music’s biggest labels and party brands: Pryda Friends (with Marco Carola, Adam Beyer, Maceo Plex), Size Matters, Anjnabeats, Annie Mac Presents, All Gone Pete Tong, Hed Kandi, Club Life, and pretty much all Radio 1 DJs. Even the silent disco lineup is stacked with Russ Chimes, Shadow Child, Duke Dumont, and Deniz Koyu.
Along with the announcement, the management team of the Creamfields festival brand have outlined in detail the steps they’ve taken to improve the experience for festival-goers since last year’s disastrous cancelation of the festival’s third day. Drainage systems were an obvious focus, but other improvements for the campgrounds (including large information screens for improved communication) and reassessment of arenas and stage placement provide more assurance that the £500,000 spent to repair and strengthen the festival’s home was a worthy cause. Creamfields also indicated they’ve been able to learn from LiveNation’s experienced festival team (they were acquired by the American company in May 2012).
This year’s event will take place during the country’s Bank Holiday weekend — August 23-25th. Purchase your tickets here beginning Friday, March 1.
