Sonos Studio introduces production workshop with deadmau5 and Tommy Trash
On February 9th, the Sonos Studio in Los Angeles hosted its first hands-on viewing seminar into the dance music production process. The event, featuring deadmau5 and Tommy Trash as the guest speakers, allowed a room of aspiring producers to witness the Grammy-nominated electronic artists teach their craft – explaining their process the entire way.
Each student was introduced to the newest, industry-standard production programs as well as a variety of instruments and synthesizers via a step-by-step, stem-by-stem guide. Both Tommy and Joel demonstrated their incredible talents in the studio and provided deep insight into their production methodology, guiding attendees through the birth of a track to its final product.
The Sonos Series plans to continue with these small, hands-on workshops in the future – providing budding producer’s in the LA-area invaluable insight into the minds and methods of dance music’s top producers.
