We’ve come to associate Tom Staar with both a rowdier sound and his partner in crime Kryder, but the Londoner’s next output is a more melodic offering alongside Stockholm’s Style of Eye. Featuring an unknown vocalist, “After Dark” is a torrent of big room synths. Beaming with its pervasive, somewhat-stereotypical melody, the true potential of “After Dark” rests in its glitches, wobbles, and bass mutterings. Does it live up to the caliber of both these aspiring artists? We’ll wait for the full release to make that call.
