Yelle – L’amour Parfait (Original Mix)
While French electro-pop sensation Yelle has been fairly quiet since Madeon threw his remix of their “Que Veux-Tu” in his Pop Culture mashup, the trio triumphantly returned this week with a single that is in a word, sexy. After a grooving tri-tone spoken word intro, front woman Yelle’s so very enchanting, so very French vocals take over and a minimalist beat lies behind. With an almost hip-hop drum clap, a simple synth breakdown and melancholy but melodious lyrics, the track is as close as it gets to an electro slow jam. Though the single on its own has seductive powers, to ensure perfect love, the track will be released with remixes from Baadman, The Phantom, Ruben Mandolini and Sticky K. The full package will be released February 11th on iTunes.
