Good Morning from Romania. NTFO, a duo that has been representing top notch Southeastern European house music since 2010, contributed the lastest guest mix for the Spirit Soul Archive and it’s certainly one to reflect upon. NTFO have offered prized productions for Diynamic, Richie Hawtin’s Beatport charts, and Marco Carola sets. In the first three months of 2013, they’ve announced the launch of their own new imprint, another EP, and a release for Solomun and company. For music lovers in this attention deficit culture, it’s easy to skip through dozens of mixes each day, uncompelled by the offerings. Sometimes it’s different. In this hour-long mix, they cover tracks from the lesser-known Kotelett & Zadak, Sebo, and Freak Seven, new releases from Joyce Muniz and Maceo Plex, and presumably one of their own forthcoming releases “Munken Style” to close it out. More simply put, this is my kind of house music — compelling, unadulterated, and just the right amount of tech and tribal.
