Sweden’s ingenious initiative of hosting “lunch time raves” in various locations throughout the city have become established overseas. Fortunately, it has been announced that the event has been expanded to New York City, with its launch slated for April 24th in Flatiron from 12:30-1:30pm. The ticket includes a vegetarian lunch, as well as sweaty, sober mid-day raving. Space Jam of Turrbotax parties will be spinning boogie, house, and bass to help you get through that painful work day. The global movement has even created its own manifesto, which all ‘naut’s will be able to relate to and appreciate:

1st rule: If it’s your first time at Lunch Beat, you have to dance.

2nd rule: If you have been to Lunch Beat before, you still have to dance.

3rd rule: If you are getting too tired to actually dance at Lunch Beat, please have your lunch at some other place.

4th rule: You don’t talk about your job at Lunch Beat.

5th rule: Everyone present at Lunch Beat is your dance partner
