Pacha Ibiza announces new Sunday night residency: ‘Solomun + 1’
Solomun, the king of the 2012 Ibiza season, has finally announced his new home for the 2013 Ibiza summer season. After rounding out a killer year with his Tuesday night residency at Sankeys, Mixmag‘s recently crowned #1 DJ and Diynamic label head will be taking over the very hot Sunday night spot at Pacha. Luciano announced his departure from this booking after three years of the Vagabundos Party at Pacha, but until now no one was clear who’d be following in his footsteps.
Solomun’s concept, “Solomun +1,” simply indicates his plan to invite one other guest each week — “someone who has inspired him and someone he enjoys to play with,” as Ibiza Spotlight reports. Pacha will make a few custom adjustments for the 20-week Sunday night run, including shifting the DJ booth to the middle of the dance floor and supporting a more sparse look that the Diynamic parties tend to favor.
