With two previews in one week, Armin van Buuren is proving he has at least one thing in common with his fans: he can’t wait until May 3rd either. Coming hot on the heels of a sneak peek of “Who’s Afraid of 138?!” is a snippet of “Intense,” the namesake track from his impending album. Like WHOA138, “Intense” invokes emotive trance, weaving Israeli-American Miri Ben-Ari’s violin with an uplifting melody before throwing in hints of progressive big room sound. Though we’ll likely have to wait until May 3rd to hear the full 8 minutes, if “Intense” is truly representative of the album as a whole, Armin couldn’t have picked a better name.
